Spring is the perfect time to dive into fresh experiences, and Berkshire is making a splash with four brand new pools opening right after Easter. Whether you are a family with a newborn looking for those first experiences in water, or you'd like your older children to continue their love of swimming with our social swim squad, these new pools offer something for everyone. This post explores each new pool, what they offer, and why they are worth booking.

New Pools Bringing Fresh Swim Opportunities for Everyone

Berkshire has long been known for its beautiful countryside and historic sites, but now Crazy Crabs are offering more venues for classes to be held at. The four pools opening after Easter are spread across the county, making it easier for residents to find a convenient spot to have swim lessons.

1. Ascot, Berkshire

Located at a private house between Ascot & Sunninghill, this pool is perfect for those requiring quiet and tailored classes. Ideal for SEN groups/privates and Beginner classes, this pool is catered to all those learning to swim from 10 weeks old upwards. The pool features:

  • Full pool area for your class

  • A shallow area for children and beginners (1m) and a 2m deep end for more fun.

  • Modern changing facilities and seating area for parents.

This pool is ideal for those who want quiet, calm lessons with a supportive, caring approach to swim lessons. We will be running classes on Mondays & Tuesdays.

2. Queen Anne's School Pool, Caversham

Our Reading classes focus on developing those from 3yrs old to 16yrs with a variety of different swim options. It includes:

4. The Oratory Prep (small pool)

Our final addition to our Berkshire Pool portfolio is that of the small pool at the Oratory Prep. This pool is perfect for those needing calm day classes. We will be running B&T, Privates and SEN Beginner group classes at this venue on a Tuesday.

  • A 32 degree warm pool

  • The whole pool to yourself

  • SEN Classes with a SEN Swim Teacher

This pool is designed for younger swimmers who need a calm environment for them to start their swimming journeys.

What These Pools Mean for Berkshire Swimmers

Crazy Crabs opening at these four pools brings several benefits to the communities across Berkshire:

  • Personalised Teaching: Our classes are small and personalised to help swimmers with developing their skills and helping to get them actually swimming.

  • Calm Environments: The pools we have are calm, supportive environments to help swimmers concentrate and learn effectively.

  • Shorter travel distances: By opening at local venues, we hope to provide shorter travel distances for existing clients and provide class alternatives for new clients.

  • Support for SEN Swimmers: At Crazy Crabs, we are incredibly inclusive and want to support the SEN community by providing quality lessons that are adaptable for SEN children.
